We are offering a very special discounted Backcountry 101 splitboarding course through the Wasatch Splitfest. This course touches on all of what we do at Utah Adventures Unlimited. This is a great course for advanced beginners & intermediate spliboarders on a budget. Normally $399, Wasatch Splitfest Special $150.00 p/p. This course will cover the following learning outcomes: - Equipment use and preparation for a tour - Mountain travel techniques & navigation - Terrain management, route selection & riding suggestions - Group dynamics & communication - Understanding the avalanche bulletin, avalanche hazard & avalanche awareness topics - Companion rescue with patient care Pre-requisite: Each student preparing for the backcountry must have the proficiency of snowboarding intermediate/black diamond terrain in-bounds. Course format & timing: Friday night, In-person briefing & equipment prep, Saturday 6 hours field time with demonstration, practice, tour with Q&A's * Course minimum 4 people. 8 spots available * BCA Avalanche equipment with pack, shovel, probe & transceiver is available for rent with this course
