Service Description

We are offering a very special discounted introduction to splitboarding course through the Wasatch Splitfest to teach you the fundamentals and familiarity of utilizing your splitboard in the backcountry. Normally $199, Wasatch Splitfest Special $99. This course is designed for beginners/Intermediate and will cover the following learning outcomes: ​ - Equipment understanding, use and preparation for a tour - Equipment use during a tour (Fundamental Skills) - Backcountry travel, transitions and skills building - Terrain management & riding suggestions - Group dynamics Pre-requisite: Each student preparing for the backcountry must have the proficiency of snowboarding intermediate terrain in-bounds. Format: 6 hours: Friday night, In-person briefing & equipment prep, minimum 6 hours field time with demonstration & practice. * Please ask about complimentary equipment for the course (splitboard, skins, bindings & poles)
